UoVT Sixers 2019

 

UoVT Sixers is one of an interesting event which organize annually by the 

sports society of University of Vocational Technology. It gives a great opportunity to show students’ skills on cricket and to share a competitive feeling with their colleagues.

               It was last held on 04^th and 05^th of April in 2019 at the ground of Kandawala Maha Vidyalaya. There were 17 teams of boys and 04 teams of girls to compete with each other. Dr.D.D.D.Suraweera who is the Dean of Faculty of Industrial and Vocational Technology was the chief guest of the Sixers 2019.

              After the religious rites, the tournament was started. There was huge competition between all 21 teams. However, after a competitive contest 04 teams were selected for the semi final round. They were Team Injured, Team Smart Juniors, Team Wisekari, Team Hithuwakkari. 

              The final round was the most awaited moment of all the students. Among 21 teams, after a competitive contest the victory was achieved by Team Smart Juniors and Team Wisekari. 

             Students celebrated their victory and the success of UoVT sixers 2019 end with a DJ party which lasted about an hour.

             All the undergraduates of University of Vocational Technology are eagerly waiting for the next Sixers with the unforgettable memories of last year.
