Society of Food Science & Technology

The Society of Food Science & Technology "OMEGA  Club" which was established by food process technology students of the University of Vocational Technology. As the undergraduates it is very important to obtain practical experience with the theoretical knowledge. Therefore we decided to form this type of club. The club has more concern about routing happenings in food industry and food pattern of the society.

To achieve this we expect to conduct workshops training programmes, researches and to conduct a news letter. Through this club we hope to identify the issues in food industry and solving them with an industrial awareness programmes by the support of authorized institutions. 

At this time, our club has already implemented some activities such as assessing nutritional status of the undergraduates of the university and given some knowledge about the importance of the healthy life. Also it is ready to held annually and publication of the nutritional assessment will be publishing in each year.

OMEGA expects to conduct further activities within this academic period such as conducting new researches and projects for the innovation of new food products and methods and publishing food science based news letter monthly.

So as the goal of the club, the omega club hopes to reach the job market, fulfill their requirements and make a better food industry by providing skilled graduates.
