"SISU SITHATA SISILAK 2015" CSR Project

SISU SITHATA SISILAK 2015 - Sewanagala

The "SISU SITHATA SISILAK" conducted by the Students' Union of The University of Vocational Technology was held at the MO/Sewanagala Ginigalpalassa Keerthikumarapura Vidyalaya for the year 2015. This CSR initiative was successfully conducted for the second consecutive year.

"SISU SITHATA SISILAK" is a modest effort to assist school going Students who need more support in rural areas of the country. This year our students spend three days there and painted all the desks and chairs of the Keerthikumarapura School. On this 30th November, Which was the final day of the CSR project, School bags, Exercise books and Stationary were distributed among all the students of the school. Moreover, books were donated to the library of the school.

The Students of Keerthikumarapura Vidyalaya, their parents and the teachers were happy to receive the donations since it would contribute a lot to the betterment of school community. Other than the bliss of enjoying sharing and caring, The students of University of Vocational Technology had the opportunity of improving the team spirit among themselves by working together for a common meaningful goal.

Guidance and support of the academic and non-academic staff members of the University of Vocational Technology contributed a lot in making the event success. The Advices of Ven. Okande Indrarathana tero and the inspirational speech made by Mr. Chandana Lokuhewage, Divisional Secretary of Sewanagala Division encouraged the organizers to organize more successful programmes in the future.
